Omar Al-Hindi serves as SJAFCA’s Executive Project Manager. In this role, Omar is responsible for the project management of flood risk reduction civil engineering levee projects, and is involved in all aspects of project management, including project planning, scheduling, funding, and coordination.

Prior to being hired at SJAFCA, Omar served as Associate Civil Engineer for the City of South Pasadena, where he led the implementation, many large-scale infrastructure projects. Previously, he worked for the City of Santa Monica as a Public Works Construction Specialist in the Public Works Department, Construction Division, the City of Stockton Public Works Department, Engineering and Operations and Maintenance Department and Alameda County Flood Control Department, where he managed many flood control projects, including channel rehabilitation initiatives, and the installation of large pump stations.

Omar holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of the Pacific (1984).
